Helping our Wisconsin Bats

October 21, 2021 @ 6:30 pm 7:30 pm

Susan Johansen Mayoleth
Sue Johansen-Mayoleth

Sue started working in the Wisconsin Park System in 1994 in Milwaukee at Havenwoods State Forest as a seasonal Naturalist. I became the full-time naturalist there, in 2000 and worked at Havenwoods until I came to Devil’s Lake State Park in the fall of 2010, as their full-time Naturalist. I’ve been working in Wisconsin parks for 27 years! When not leading programs and events at the park, my husband and I enjoy hiking in many of the local areas, photography, and traveling to National Parks.

Description: Bats are everywhere in Wisconsin! We’ll discover what species of bats live in the state, dispel some bath myths, and learn about the issues facing bats. You’ll also be able to find out how you can monitor the bats in your “neighborhood” and how your data helps bat biologists know more about these nocturnal flyers.
