Have you ever wondered where the birds, bees, and other prairie pollinators like to hang…
Auction week: Nov 6 – 18
The 2022 SPCA Silent Auction has begun! This year’s auction, which is active until Friday, Nov. 18, features a variety of items generously donated by nearly 70 area businesses and organizations, artists, authors, book sellers, and Alliance members from North Freedom, Baraboo, Spring Green, Black Earth, Prairie du Sac, Sauk City, Madison, Viroqua, Green Bay, La Crosse, Weyerhaeuser, and Mole Lake Indian Reservation – even Las Vegas, Nevada! Also, back by popular demand, the auction features three Badger Nursery apple trees! These “heritage” trees are a piece of Badger history that you can grow and nurture in your own yard. Bidding for each tree begins at $50. Follow the link to access the bidding site and learn about the Apple Corps project. https://www.32auctions.com/organizations/74500/auctions/128560/auction_items/4072351
Looking to get a jump on the holiday season? We also have gifts for the whole family, including items like a Phenology Calendar/Tower Rock Bakery Gift Card set and Yeti Hopper BackFlip Cooler for a day at the lake! You can find these items and more here: https://www.32auctions.com/SCPA2022FallSilentAuction
Proceeds from the fundraiser will go to projects that support the organization’s five core goals for the Badger Lands: community education/outreach, research/conservation, advocacy, prairie restoration, and historical preservation. Current endeavors include the “We Are Sauk” lecture series, wildlife surveys, prairie restoration along the Great State Sauk Trail, public tours, and the operating and updating of the self-guided tour app, “Explore the Badger Lands.”
