“Restoring Sauk Prairie” revised documentary now available!

The Alliance has recently released version 2 of its award-winning documentary, “Restoring the Sauk Prairie: A Story of Hope and Healing.”  The original video was produced in 2018 to celebrate the Alliance’s 20th anniversary.  The 30-minute production was updated and improved with four additional interviews completed in 2019 to include the important addition of the Great Sauk State Trail to the Badger Lands in 2018. The new video is available for viewing at this YouTube link.  The video is also easily accessible from a tab on our home page.

This film was produced, in part, with a grant from Sauk County UW Extension Arts and Culture Committee and the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin.  The video is being reproduced onto DVDs for free and widespread distribution to libraries, schools and historical societies.  Alliance members will have an opportunity to acquire the DVD, as well.
