“We Are Sauk Prairie” Lecture Series Begins Anew
Beginning on September 21 and for the next three months, the Alliance is hosting the season’s “We Are Sauk Prairie” lecure and tour series, courtesy of our sponsor, Alliant Energy Foundation. Programs are held in the Ruth Culver Library (540 Water Street) in Prairie du Sac starting at 6:30pm. Refreshments are provided.

Thursday, September 21: “The Badger Archives and the History of Badger Army Ammunition Plant” presented by Verlyn Mueller, Curator/Archivist, Museum of Badger Army Ammunition.
Thursday, October 19: “The Merrimac Preserve: Preserving and Restoring its Diverse Natural Communities” presented by Linda Lynch, Director, Riverland Conservancy.
Thursday, November 16: “Pollinators in southern Wisconsin’s agricultural landscapes: Opportunities for conservation” presented by Dr. Claudio Gratton, Professor, UW-Madison Department of Entomology.
Thursday, December 14: “Looking Back, Looking Forward: Twenty Years of Community and Conservation on the Badger Landscape” shared by Curt Meine, Mike Mossman Gail Lamberty & Mike Degen. Our panelists will share their perspectives on the 20 year effort to create a green space at the former Badger Army Ammunition Plant. This program coincides with the Alliance’s 20th anniversary.
