Upcoming March Events
The Alliance has a lot going in March, and we wanted to share those events with you. Here’s a summary:
Saturday, March 11: First Volunteer Work Day at Badger (9am – 12pm) to inventory tools and equipment, and to make a site visit to the Hillside Prairie to plan 2017 season. Meet at the entrance to Badger on Hwy 12 (across from Citgo Station) at 9am.
Saturday, March 25: Volunteer Work Day (9am to 12pm). We’ll meet just before 9am at the entrance to Badger on Hwy 12 (across from the Citgo Station) and then carpool to our work site–the Hillside Prairie. We’ll focus on removing garlic mustard and cutting invasive shrubs.
Saturday, March 25: Benefit Concert for Alliance, 7pm. Folk singer/songwriter Ben Weaver will entertain us with some down-to-earth vocals and guitar, accompanied by Curt Meine, Alliance founder.
When: Saturday, March 25th, 7:00pm to 9:00pm
Where: “The Schoolhouse,” 4282 Twin Valley Road, Middleton
Cost: $15 (additional donations welcome… hey, this is a fund-raiser!)

Tuesday, March 28: Alliance Annual Meeting. Election of board members & program, “What’s Up at Badger?” Three representatives of the current landowners at Badger will provide a summary of what they are doing on their respective properties. Special treat: the Alliance will “unveil” its long-awaited Visitor Guide to the Badger Lands!
