Alliance Hosts Volunteer Workshop March 5

The Alliance is hosting a pre-season Volunteer Workshop on Saturday, March 5th at the University of Wisconsin-Baraboo/Sauk County campus to provide training for new and returning (experienced) volunteers.  The Workshop is generously supported by a grant from REI.

This all-day workshop (9:30am to 2:00pm) will offer a diversity of instructional content, including an overview of the Badger lands, techniques in ecological restoration, identification of invasive species, best management practices, and use of restoration tools.  Workshop participants will be introduced to and provided a copy of the “Volunteer Handbook” developed for this workshop.

Participation is limited to 20 individuals, so please register early to secure a spot.  Go here to register.  A nominal workshop fee of $10 will cover facility use, lunch and various publications that will be provided during the workshop.  You may pay online here, or send a check with your registration form to:  Sauk Prairie Conservation Alliance, PO Box 403, Baraboo WI  53913.  Please register by February 23rd.  Thank you!
