Volunteer Work Day at Badger Hillside Prairie October 10

Interested in having a fun and educational experience on a beautiful fall day?  Plan to join the Alliance for one of our fall Volunteer Work Days this Saturday, October 1oth from 9am to Noon.  We will be removing brush from a pristine hillside prairie remnant on what is known as the Sauk Prairie Recreation Area inside the former Badger Army Plant between Sauk City and Baraboo.  We will be joined by our partner REI, including their staff and volunteers.  It promises to be a “prairie party!”

If you’d like to join the Work Day, arrive at the main gate to the old Badger Plant on Highway 12, across the highway from the Citgo Station, by 9:00am.  We will carpool to the work site.  Wear long pants and a hat, and bring gloves, loppers and good humor!  Also see our Event announcement here.
