JOBS

The Sauk Prairie Conservation Alliance (TSPCA), a non profit organization based out of Baraboo, WI, seeks a Program Assistant to research, analyze, write, and implement a strategic plan specifically focused on effective recruitment and retainment tactics for ecological restoration volunteers.

The Program Assistant will analyze current and past volunteer engagement activities within TSPCA; identify the basis for volunteer longevity with similarly aligned organizations; research best practices for volunteer engagement across south central Wisconsin; and recommend effective marketing approaches, including social media strategies. The final product will include an analysis of the existing volunteer landscape, profiling the ideal demographic target, best practices for TSPCA to implement, and a strategic marketing plan for implementation. Implementation will begin with the start of the 2012 Restoration Season in March.  The Program Assistant will be directly involved with volunteer recruitment, training, and outreach.

Applicants should possess the ability to work independently with limited supervision; have excellent research, problem solving and communications skills; have experience working with volunteers; and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel. Undergraduate coursework should have included an emphasis in the biological sciences.  Familiarity with data collection, analysis, social media and marketing strategies are a plus.   This is a contract, part-time position dependent on grant funding, with an initial duration of 12 months.  Stipend will be negotiated during the hiring process.  Work may be conducted at a home office or at the TSPCA office located at the former Badger Ammunition Plant on Hwy 12.  Travel within Sauk County, WI is required.

Please submit a letter of interest with resume directly to TSPCA at info@saukprairievision.org
